Tandoori naan is one of the most popular flatbreads, especially in the festive season. But can you make it at home without a tandoor? Yes, you can! Here’s how you can make it in a pressure cooker.

Ingredients

2 cups maida ½ cup curd 1 tsp sugar ½ tsp salt 1 tsp baking powder ¼ tsp baking soda 2 tbsp ghee Warm water (as needed) Melted butter or ghee (for brushing) Nigella seeds (kalonji) Fresh cilantro (for garnishing)

Step 1

Mix maida, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.

Step 2

Add curd and ghee and knead a dough with warm water. Let it rest.

Step 3

Take a pressure cooker and remove its whistle and gasket. Place the cooker upside down and heat for 5-7 minutes.

Step 4

Divide the dough into small portions and roll them into naans. Brush water on one side.

Step 5

Stick the wet sides of the naan to the cooker wall. Close the lid and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Step 6

Once browned, remove the naan, brush with butter, and serve hot.
