Here’s How To Stop Overeating At Night

By Deepali Verma

No matter where you are or what you are eating, there are some basic tips that can assist you in preventing nighttime overeating if you frequently find that you are doing so.

Don't skip breakfast

Skipping breakfast might leave you hungry and fatigued causing you to overeat during night. Breakfast keeps you energised all day and helps you eat properly at night.

Eat frequent meals

Eating smaller meals more often can help you eat less at night. Small meals also help your waistline. Selecting a smaller plate makes a tiny portion appear larger.

Drink lots of water

Stay full and hydrated by drinking water throughout the day. A glass or two of water before your last meal will help you feel full and prevent overeating. Water may hinder digestion, so avoid drinking it during meals.

Include protein

Protein is amazing at making you full. Protein-rich foods can help you feel full, fight lethargy, and limit nighttime appetite.

Slowly eating and chewing can help you avoid overeating by giving your brain time to register fullness. We overeat before realising it when we eat fast.
