Try these sumptuous and mouth-watering tender Shammi kebabs, perfect for your evening snacks.
300gm chicken 85gm soaked chana dal 1 tbsp cumin 1 tbsp coriander seeds 4-5 dry red chillies 5-6 black peppercorns 1-inch cinnamon stick ½ tbsp red chilli powder 3 tbsp chopped garlic 1 tbsp chopped ginger 1tsp cumin powder 3 crushed cardamom 2 eggs Coriander and Mint leaves 3-4 tbsp oil
Soak the chana dal for 2-3 hours. In a pan, saute all the spices - cloves, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, red chillies and black peppercorns.
Add the chana dal and mix it properly. Then add the chicken, and bring it to a simmer. Add some water to the mixture and cook it for 10-15 minutes until the chicken is tender.
Let it cool for some time. Then, grind it in a paste with finely chopped onions, garlic, ginger, coriander and mint leaves.
Roll the mixture into circular kebabs and dip them in the raw egg mix.
Fry the oil in the pan and shallow fry the kebabs until golden brown. Serve hot with chilli sauce!
