Healthy Snacking Done Right: 10 Things To Rely On

By Jasmine Kaur

If you’ve been snacking unhealthy and want to start eating clean, begin by ditching all the preservative-rich and packaged food and go for something natural.

Greek Yoghurt

A creamy, mildly sweet and healthier alternative for snacking is Greek yoghurt. With this, you could make a smoothie, a parfait and much more.

Hard-Boiled  Eggs

Full of protein and easy to make, all you need are some eggs dipped in water with a pinch of salt to prevent from cracking. Season with salt and black pepper.

Popcorn

Not just your movie buddy, unsalted, plain popcorn without any butter, cheese or caramel is a healthy way to snack when you’re having the munchies.

Fruits And Vegetables

Either, you could make a delicious fruit chaat or go for a crunchy, raw salad with a yoghurt dressing. You can pick your favourite fruits and veggies for the same.

Rice Cakes

Soft, moist, steamed rice cakes are a filling snack that one could have. All you need is some rice soaked in water. It is a low-calorie option.

Whole Grain  Crackers

Crackers with healthy toppings like hummus, carrots, grapes, olives and jalapenos are a delicious and crunchy snack that you can pop in your mouth quickly.

Soup

The most comforting meal in winters, you can make a rich and nutritious soup with lentils and vegetables or even lean protein like chicken.

Trail Mix

This one can be munched on at any time of the day. Roast your nuts and seeds in a pan with some salt and honey. They turn slightly stick but taste delicious each time you bite in.

Celery Sticks

Chop some celery sticks. You can even slice thin strips of carrots and cucumber if you like. Prepare a hung curd dip and keep dipping.

Corn Chaat

Boil your sweet corn and chop some onions, tomatoes and coriander leaves. Add them to the bowl of corn with lime juice, black pepper, red chilli powder and toss it.
