Ragi, also known as finger millet is a gluten-free grain that is used in Indian cuisine for ages. This smoothie is made using ragi flour for a smoother consistency and texture. Ragi smoothie would be a great addition to your winter diet thanks to immunity-boosting properties. You can have this smoothie for breakfast, lunch or dinner depending on your preference.

1/2 cup ragi flour 1 ripe banana 1/2 cup mixed berries (raspberries, strawberries, blueberries) 1 cup dairy or plant milk 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract Optional: 1 tablespoon honey, maple syrup and ice cubes

In a small saucepan, combine the ragi flour and a small amount of water to make a homogeneous paste.

Blend the ragi paste, banana, mixed berries, milk, honey or maple syrup (if using), and vanilla extract in a blender.

Blend until completely smooth. If the smoothie is too thick, add more milk to reach the desired consistency.

Fill glasses halfway with the ragi smoothie.

To make it colder, add ice cubes if desired.

For extra texture and flavour, top with a few whole berries or a sprinkle of crumbled nuts.
