Made with ragi flour, jaggery and cardamom powder, this is a healthy way to curb your untimely hunger pangs. Here is the recipe to prepare this healthy snack at home.
1 cup ragi flour, 1/2 cup jaggery, 1/2 tbsp green cardamom powder, 2 pinches of ginger powder, 1 tbsp baking powder, 1/2 cup rice bran oil, 1 egg (whisked), 1/2 tbsp salt
In a pan mix the ragi flour and cardamom powder. Then roast this gently on a tawa till the colour gets a bit darker. In a bowl add the whisked egg, roasted ragi and sugar.
Add the dry ginger and salt to it, mix well. Then add the oil and mix well. Shape them as cookies. Pre-heat the oven for 5-7 minutes.
Take a flat dish and put butter paper on it. Place the biscuit roundels and bake for 8 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius. When done, let it cool and enjoy.
