Healthy Millet Puloa Recipe For A Gluten-Free Meal

Millets are gaining much traction, thanks to their nutritional value and health benefits. To make a lip-smacking millet-based dish, you can try this recipe for millet pulao and enjoy a gluten-free meal.

Ingredients

1 cup mixed millets 1 onion 1 tomato 1 green chilli 1 inch ginger 2 cloves garlic 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 1 bay leaf 2 green cardamoms 1 cinnamon stick 1 teaspoon garam masala 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves Salt to taste 2 tablespoons oil Mixed Vegetables

Step 1

Rinse the mixed millet and soak for half an hour. Drain and keep aside.

Step 2

Heat some oil and saute cumin seeds, bay leaf green cardamom, and cinnamon stick.

Step 3

Add chopped onion, ginger and garlic. Mix in tomatoes and cook till they are soft.

Step 4

Stir in turmeric powder, red chilli powder, and garam masala.

Step 5

Add mixed vegetables like peas, carrots, and cauliflower. Pour some water and boil.

Step 6

Add the millets and let the mixture simmer for about 20 minutes. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
