Healthy Methi-Paneer Paratha For A High-Protein Meal

Parathas are one of the quintessential meals of Indian cuisine. This variation is the perfect combination of taste and health while also being high in protein as it is loaded with paneer. Here's a recipe for you to try:

Ingredients

For the dough: 2 cups whole wheat flour ½ tsp salt Water, as needed 1 tablespoon of oil

Ingredients

For the filling: 1 cup grated paneer 1 cup of chopped methi leaves 1 small onion 2 green chillies 1 teaspoon grated ginger ½ teaspoon cumin seeds ½ teaspoon garam masala ½ teaspoon red chilli powder Salt to taste

Step 1

Add the water to the flour mixture to make a soft dough, knead with oil, and let rest for 15 to 20 minutes.

Step 2

Add the cumin seeds, red chilli powder, onion, green chillies, ginger, paneer, methi leaves, and red chilli powder to a bowl.

Step 3

The dough should be divided into balls. Roll out one, put the filling in the centre, seal, and roll gently again.

Step 4

Turn the paratha, add a little oil or ghee, and cook till golden brown. Heat the tawa.
