Make your monsoon teatime healthier with this tasty yet healthy tikki recipe featuring karela and paneer. The recipe is simple and uses staple pantry ingredients. Here's how to do it:
1 bitter gourd (karela), peeled, seeded, grated 200g paneer, grated 1 potato, boiled, mashed 1 small onion, finely chopped 2 green chillies, finely chopped 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste 1/2 tsp each: turmeric, red chilli powder, garam masala, cumin seeds 1 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped Salt to taste 2 tbsp besan 1 tbsp oil
Salt grated karela, let sit for 10 mins, then squeeze out water.
Combine karela, paneer, potato, onion, chillies, ginger-garlic paste, spices, coriander, salt, and besan.
Shape the mixture into small patties.
Shallow fry in oil until golden brown on both sides.
