Gur sharbat is a healthy drink that uses ingredients that are known to have a cooling effect on your body. This drink acts as a perfect summer cooler and uses gur (jaggery) as a sweetener in addition to its various health benefits. Here's a recipe that can help you make this sharbat during the summer season:
1 cup grated jaggery (gur) 4 cups of water 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice Ice cubes Fresh mint leaves for garnish
Heat grated jaggery and water in a saucepan until the jaggery dissolves and the syrup thickens slightly.
Let the syrup cool, then add fresh lemon juice.
Strain the sharbat and refrigerate until chilled.
Serve over ice cubes, garnished with fresh mint leaves.
