Gajar ka Halwa is a winter-special recipe made with the goodness of carrots. It is a popular North Indian recipe but is made by people across the country. One of the ways to make this recipe more delicious and healthy is by replacing the sugar with jaggery. Take a look at how to make the gajar ka halwa with jaggery.

4 Cup tightly packed grated carrots 4 Cup milk (3 Cup if full-fat milk) 1 Cup jaggery 1 Tblsp ghee (clarified butter) Handful chopped nut like cashew, almond, pista 1 teaspoon cardamom powder

Clean, peel and rinse carrots. Grate them using a food processor or box grater.

Take a non-stick pan and heat it to medium flame.

Add ghee and carrots to the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes.

Add milk to it and cook on high flame. Stir continuously till 12-4 minutes.

Add cardamom powder, nuts, jaggery powder and mix well. Cook till 4-5 minutes.

When the halwa becomes dry, switch off the flame. Your carrot halwa with jaggery is ready.
