A delicious and nourishing sweet potato halwa made from mashed sweet potatoes, milk, and sugar. It is flavoured with nutmeg and cardamom powder.
1 large or 1 cup Sweet potatoes boiled, peeled and mashed 2 tablespoon Ghee ½ cup Milk 2-3 tablespoons Sugar ¼ teaspoon Green cardamom seeds powders pinch Freshly grated nutmeg 1-2 tablespoons Almonds or cashews, chopped
Use an Instant Pot or pressure cooker to boil the sweet potatoes for 5 to 6 whistles (manual 15 minutes).
Now Peel and mash with a potato masher once they are cool to the touch. Take a pan and heat ghee.
Add the mashed sweet potatoes in the ghee. Stirring continuously, Add milk now.
Add Sugar, cardamom, and nutmeg Once the sugar melts, stir well until thick, Add the almond slices last.
Serve it hot! Enjoy this delicacy garnish with your favourite fry fruits!
