Broccoli cheese tikkis are a delicious, crispy snack perfect for monsoon snacking. Combining the health benefits of broccoli with the creamy taste of cheese, these tikkis are nutritious and tasty.
1 cup broccoli, finely chopped 1 cup grated cheese (mozzarella) 2 medium potatoes, boiled and mashed 1 chopped green chilly 1 teaspoon ginger, grated 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder 1/2 teaspoon garam masala Salt to taste 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs Oil for frying
Start by steaming the broccoli until it’s tender. When cooked, finely chop them.
In a bowl, add chopped broccoli, grated cheese and mashed potatoes. Add in chopped green chilli and grated ginger. Add in the cumin powder, garam masala, and salt to taste.
Mix all ingredients well, and make small round tikkis using your hands. Flatten them a little bit.
Lightly coat each tikki with breadcrumbs. To make them extra crunchy when fried.
In a pan, heat oil and shallow fry the tikkis over medium heat until golden brown.
Once cooked, drain the tikkis on paper towels. Serve hot with mint chutney or ketchup.
