All About Karsk

The word Karsk comes from an old Scandinavian adjective, karski, which means healthy, agile or vigorous. That aptly describes the taste and texture of this cocktail.

Origin Story

While the exact date is unknown, it is said that this cocktail originated in the early 18 century in Sweden and later spread to Norway, consumed mostly by rural folks.

Making Of Karsk

Originally, the drink used Moonlight, a high-proof liquor. But once it became illegal, vodka acted as its substitute, mixed with a hot brewed coffee to make Karsk.
