Angoor ki chutney is a wonderful Indian condiment that is prepared from grapes. It combines flavours that are sweet, spicy, and acidic, and it is the perfect compliment to a wide range of foods.
2 cups black or green grapes ½ cup sugar ¼ cup vinegar 1 tsp cumin seeds 1 tsp fennel seeds ½ tsp black salt ½ tsp red chili powder Salt to taste
Wash the grapes thoroughly and remove the stems. In a saucepan, combine the grapes with sugar and a splash of water. Cook over medium heat until the grapes soften and the mixture thickens slightly.
Add vinegar, cumin seeds, fennel seeds, black salt, red chili powder, and salt. Stir well and simmer for another 5-10 minutes until the chutney thickens. Once cooled, blend the mixture for a smoother consistency, if desired. Adjust the seasoning according to taste.
Store in a clean, airtight jar in the refrigerator. Serve as a sweet and tangy accompaniment to meals.
