Raw rice and milk are cooked together to make the delectable dessert Phirni or Firni. Frequently, we have extra boiled rice at home that can be deliciously utilised by making this dessert.
Boiled rice – 2 cups Milk – 1lt Saffron – few strands Sugar – 5 tbsp Cardamom powder – ½ tsp Pista chopped – 2 tbsp Almonds chopped – 2 tbsp
Add milk and the boiled rice to a mixer grinder.
Be careful not to turn it into a paste as you grind it until the grains are very fine.
Put some saffron threads, pour it into a pan and quickly bring to a boil.
4. Cook the milk until it becomes thick by reducing the heat.
Add sugar, cardamom powder, pista & almonds (if using). Take it off the stove and serve it once it has a thick coating consistency
