Idli chaat is an impeccable fusion of South India’s speciality, idli and North India’s finger-licking chaat. If you have some leftover idlis, here’s a delicious way of incorporating them.
8 steamed idlis 1/2 cup curd 1/4 cup chopped onions 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro Tamarind chutney, as required Green chutney, as required 1 tablespoon sev 1 tablespoon oil 1/2 teaspoon chaat masala Salt and pepper to taste
Cut the steamed idlis into 5-6 pieces. Shallow fry the idlis till crispy.
Prepare the chaat mixture by adding the chopped idlis to the curd.
Coat the idlis well, and then add chopped onions and cilantro.
Add tamarind and green chutney and mix well.
Sprinkle chaat masala, salt, and pepper to taste. Garnish with sev and serve.
