Made with roasted chana dal, jaggery and aromats, this traditional mithai recipe from Rajasthan is a must-have during Hariyali Teej festival. Check out the recipe and give it a try.
2 cups chana dal 1 cup ghee 1 cup powdered sugar ½ tsp cardamom powder ¼ cup cashews, almonds, chopped

Place the chana dal in a hot pan and dry roast until golden brown, but don’t burn. Grind into a fine sattu powder.

Transfer the sattu powder into a bowl, then add sugar and cardamom powder. Mix well.

Heat the ghee and gradually add to the sattu mix to make a soft and slightly crumbly dough.

Now, take a handful of the dough and shape it into laddoos or pinnis.

Garnish the Sattu Mithai with the chopped almonds and cashews, and store in an airtight container.
