As per the Hindu calendar, Hanuman Jayanti will be celebrated on 23rd April 2024. To make bhog for Lord Hanuman, the religious devotee of Lord Ram, there’s nothing better than meethi boondi. With this recipe, you can prepare it in just ten minutes.
For the Boondi: Besan (chickpea flour) - 1 cup Water - 3/4 cup Pinch of baking soda Ghee for frying Yellow or orange natural food colour For the Sugar Syrup: Sugar - 1 cup Water - 1/2 cup Cardamom pods - 4
Make a batter for boondi by mixing besan, water, and baking soda. Add a few drops of natural food colour.
Heat up some ghee and make boondi from the batter using a big strainer and deep fry them.
Take them out once they are golden brown in colour.
Meanwhile, prepare a sugar syrup by boiling water and mixing it with sugar. Add crushed cardamom pods.
Transfer the fried boondi to the prepared sugar syrup, mix well and take them out in five minutes. Bring it to room temperature, and the bhog will be ready.
