Chocolate almond cake is a canvas to create spooky fun for Halloween. With the goodness of gooey chocolate and a hint of almonds, you can make your baked cake the highlight of Halloween.
1.5 cups maida 1 cup powdered sugar 1/2 cup cocoa powder 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 cup milk 1/2 cup oil 2 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/2 teaspoon almond extract 1/2 cup chopped almonds
Take a large bowl and mix flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, and salt.
In a separate bowl, mix the wet ingredients like milk, oil, eggs, vanilla extract, and almond extract.
Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients till you get a smooth batter.
Pour the batter into a greased pan and bake for about half an hour. Let it cool.
Add some chocolate ganache if you want to make it more indulgent.
Finally, garnish the cake with chopped almonds and make scary faces.
