Before using any spice, take a moment to inspect it. Any discolouration or unusual texture means it's old and has contamination.

If you wash fresh spices before drying them, make sure they are completely dry before storing them. Remember, moisture promotes fungal growth.

Place small rice or silica gel packets in your spice containers to absorb any accumulated moisture. This helps to keep the environment dry and prevents fungus growth.
