Nankhatai are the traditional Gujarati cookies that just melt in your mouth. Whether you want to pair them with your tea or enjoy them as a post-meal treat, you can make nankhatai with this recipe.
1.25 cup maida 2 tablespoons sooji ½ cup sugar ½ cup ghee ¼ teaspoon salt ½ teaspoon cardamom powder 2 teaspoons chopped nuts A few rose petals for garnishing
Mix maida and sooji together. Set aside.
Mix powdered sugar and ghee. Add cardamom powder and mix well.
Add the flour and make a smooth dough.
Take small portions, roll them into balls and gently press them down with a fork.
Top with chopped nuts and rose petals. Bake for about 15 minutes and serve.
