Gud Ki Roti: A Warm And Delicious Flatbread For Winter Season

Made with ghee, jaggery, milk and wheat flour, this delicious, sweet roti is perfect to relish during winter. Here is an easy recipe to make gud ki roti at home.

Ingredients

1.5 cups whole wheat flour 1 cup ghee 3 cups jaggery, grated 1 cup milk 1/8 tsp baking soda Salt to taste Ghee for frying

Step 1

Mix jaggery in half of the milk and cook over low heat. Let it cool.

Step 2

Now mix the soda and salt into the flour. Add some ghee to it and knead a firm dough with the milk-jaggery mixture.

Step 3

Roll the dough into 1/4 inch thick roti. Prick and cook on a tawa over low heat.

Step 4

Smear ghee onto the roti and cook properly on both the sides. Repeat the same with the remaining dough and serve hot with masala chai.
