This delicious fresh green chana forms the base of a technicolour but tasty, protein-packed hummus – to nibble on with cucumber sticks as a healthy evening snack option.
1 cup green chana, steamed 2 cloves garlic 1 tablespoon sesame seeds 1 teaspoon cumin powder ½ cup olive oil ¼ cup cold water Salt, to taste
Add the green chana, garlic, sesame seeds and cumin powder and grind coarsely.
Add the olive oil and salt and blitz to a paste.
Drizzle the cold water in a steady stream as you continue grinding, until the mixture is airy and fluffy.
Serve with cucumber and carrot sticks, pita bread or lavash.
