Govardhan celebrates Lord Krishna saving Brajwasis from the wrath of Lord Indra by balancing the mountain on his little finger. To thank Krishan and Govardhan Mountain for all they provide us, here are some milk-based delights you must add to the festive spread.
Comprising milk, curd, Gangajal, honey, and ghee, this is considered a holy drink among Hindus. It is a must-addition to the festive spread.
Any festival that celebrates Lord Krishna includes makhan mishri as a part of bhog. It is considered among Kanha's favourite delights.
The festive spread can also include buttermilk which adds a refreshing touch. You can add masala or temper it with spices for an oomph.
Rasgulla is a sweet made by curdling milk. It is a quintessential part of the 56 bhog spread offered to Lord Krishna.
Prepared from condensed milk, rabri is also a part of the festive spread. It is delicious and can be made nutritious with dry fruits.
Kheer is another delight prepared during the Govardhan celebration. Most devotees prepare rice kheer and offer it to Lord Krishna.
