Got Rice? Turn It Into A Fried Rice

Fried Rice is an Asian style stir-fried rice dish that comes packed with flavours. This is a recipe to transform leftover rice into a delicious weeknight dinner.

Ingredients - 4 cups of pre-cooked rice, 3 tbsp butter, 2 eggs, 2 carrots, 1 onion, ½ cup peas, 3 cloves garlic, 3 green beans, 3 green onions, 4 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tsp oyster sauce, ½ tsp toasted sesame oil, and salt and black pepper.

Add ½ tbsp butter in a hot pan. Beat the eggs and drop it in to make scrambled eggs.

Remove the eggs from the pan and add more butter. Add the diced carrots, peas, chopped beans and onions with minced garlic and saute them for a while.

When the veggies start taking on some colour, generously season them with salt and pepper.

Add the remainder of the butter and add the pre-cooked rice.

Mix the vegetables and the rice together while adding the soy sauce and oyster sauce.

Once each grain of rice is coated with the sauces and butter, add in the chopped green onions and scrambled eggs and take it off the heat.

Drizzle in the toasted sesame oil and incorporate it into the fried rice and serve hot.
