Sabudana, chana dal, and creamy coconut milk make this classic Goan dessert a hit with guests that's great for Ganesh Chaturthi and other celebrations. Experience the essence of Goan delights with Mangane.

2 cups soaked and boiled chana dal 1 cup soaked and boiled sabudana 1 cup grated jaggery 2 cups grated fresh coconut 4-5 cardamoms or elaichi 1 cup fresh coconut chunks

In a blender, combine grated coconut, elaichi, and water. Take out the coconut milk by straining it.

Put the cooked chana dal and jaggery in a kadhai. Prepare for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring frequently. Blend in the sabudana and coconut milk. Allow it to cook for about five minutes at a medium simmer.

Taste and adjust the consistency by adding coconut bits or dry fruits. Enjoy while it's hot!
