One of Goa’s most iconic dishes, the Goan fish curry is a flavourful and aromatic dish that combines tender fish with a rich coconut milk base, infused with tangy tamarind and spices. This traditional coastal dish offers a perfect blend of heat, tanginess, and creaminess.

1 tsp turmeric powder 1 tsp red chilli powder 1 tsp coriander powder 1/2 tsp cumin powder 1 tsp tamarind paste Fresh coriander leaves Salt
Marinate fish fillets with a pinch of salt and turmeric. Set aside for 10-15 minutes.
Heat oil in a pan. Add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown. Add the ginger-garlic paste. Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn soft.
Stir in the turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, and cumin powder. Pour in the coconut milk and mix well.
Add the marinated fish pieces to the curry. Cover and cook on low heat for 8-10 minutes.
Stir in the tamarind paste or lemon juice, adjusting as per your taste preference.
