The original sweet delicacy known as Goan Doney embodies the savoury and sweet flavours of Goa's culinary history with its signature combination of jaggery, coconut, and rice flour.

Soak ½ kg rice overnight and grind to a thin paste. Mix 1 grated coconut with 100 grams jaggery (add more jaggery if needed).

Make cones of jackfruit leaves and seal with coconut leaf mid-rib. Apply a thin coat of rice paste to the inner side of the cones.

Put in the coconut and jaggery filling, then re-seal the top with the rice paste. For best results, steam for at least 20 minutes. Please wait as we wait for the cones to cool down.
