When you get store-bought biscuits, they are either made of wheat flour or maida. Both contain gluten and affect you in the long run. However, you can make your favourite crunchy delights at home using barnyard millet. Follow this step-by-step recipe.

Ingredients

½ cup powdered sugar 1 cup samka ka atta (barnyard millet) ¼ tsp baking powder ¼ cup ghee 2-3 tbsp milk ¼ cup crushed almonds A pinch of rock salt ½ tsp crushed cardamom powder

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 170°C. Meanwhile, prepare dough by combining barnyard millet flour, salt, ghee, powdered sugar, and other ingredients.

Step 2

The dough should be binding, neither sticky nor dry.

Step 3

Divide the dough into small parts and shape it like biscuits.

Step 4

You can even get creative by giving dough the shape of stars, animals, etc.

Step 5

Bake biscuits in the oven for 12-15 minutes until the edges turn golden brown.

Step 6

Let the biscuits cool off and store them in an airtight container.
