Give Samosas A Twist With These Interesting Fillings

Samosas are great snacks especially to have in the monsoon. While the popular filling for the crispy, savoury snack is spiced potatoes and peas, the fried pockets can be filled with all kinds of savoury and sweet fillings. Experiment with your favourite ingredients and make gourmet samosas.

Chickpea and Spinach

A nutritious and tasty filling, chickpea and spinach samosas combine cooked chickpeas with sautéed spinach, onions, and a mix of spices. This filling is packed with protein and iron.

Lamb Keema

The samosas are filled with minced lamb cooked with onions, garlic, ginger, and a blend of spices such as cumin, coriander, and garam masala. 

Paneer

The filling is made from crumbled paneer (Indian cottage cheese) mixed with spices, onions, and sometimes green peas or bell peppers. 

Chicken

The stuffing is made of minced or shredded chicken cooked with onions, garlic, ginger, and a blend of spices. 

Mix Vegetables

These samosas feature a combination of finely chopped vegetables such as carrots, peas, potatoes, and green beans, seasoned with a variety of spices. 

Sweet Coconut

For a sweet twist, fill the samosas with a mixture of grated coconut, sugar, cardamom, nuts and raisins. 

Mushroom And Cheese

Use a  filling made from sautéed mushrooms and melted cheese, with a touch of garlic and herbs.
