The unique ginger flavour of ginger ale makes it a pleasant and tasty drink. Spice and sweetness come together in a way that is sure to please your taste buds, whether you drink it straight up or combine it with other flavours.
Start by peeling and grating fresh ginger root. In a saucepan, combine water and sugar, and bring it to a boil.
Add the grated ginger and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool.
Strain the ginger-infused syrup into a jar. In a glass, mix the syrup with sparkling water or club soda.
Add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and stir well.
Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices or mint leaves. Enjoy your homemade ginger ale!
