Gin-Infused Aam Panha Cocktail: The Perfect Summer Drink

Refreshing and tangy, aam panha is one of the best natural summer coolers to have; add some gin to it and you have yourselves the ultimate cocktail to sip on hot days.

INGREDIENTS  [FOR AAM PANHA CONCENTRATE]

1 whole raw mango 2 cups water 3 tablespoon raw sugar 1 teaspoon cumin powder 6 strands saffron, soaked in water ½ teaspoon black salt ½ teaspoon salt ½ teaspoon cardamom powder

INGREDIENTS  [FOR COCKTAIL]

45 ml gin 3 tablespoons aam panha concentrate Club soda Lime wedge, for garnish

METHOD

Pressure cook the raw mango whole in two cups of water for 4-5 whistles.

METHOD

Allow it to cool completely before peeling and squeezing the pulp.

METHOD

Add the mango pulp and sugar to a pan and cook until the sugar dissolves completely.

METHOD

Mash the pulp with the back of your spoon to make a smooth paste.

METHOD

Add the remaining ingredients once taken off the heat and mix well.

METHOD

For the cocktail, add the aam panha concentrate and gin to a glass with ice and stir.

METHOD

Top up with club soda and garnish with a wedge of lime. Serve chilled.
