Ghee karam dosa is a healthy twist to the South Indian staple. It is prepared using red chutney and tastes delicious. The next time you are in the mood for South Indian dishes, replicate this recipe at home.
½ cup urad dal 1.5 cups rice 2 tsp oil 1 pinch of baking soda 1 tsp fenugreek seeds 1 tsp cumin seeds 2 onions 2 tsp oil 1 tsp red chilli powder Salt to taste 1 garlic pod ½ cup fried chana dal
Wash and soak urad dal, rice, and fenugreek seeds overnight.
Blend them into a smooth paste, and let it ferment for 6-8 hours.
Grind onions, red chilli powder, and salt. Saute the blend with oil and cumin seeds.
Blend garlic, salt, and fried gram dal in the food processor.
Spread the dosa batter on a hot skillet. Add ghee on the edges and red chutney on top.
Sprinkle gram dal masala on the top and serve the dosa crispy with chutney and sambar.
