It is advisable to cut the potatoes in the thickness of 1/4th of an inch i.e., the ideal size.
After cutting, the potato fingers should be boiled in water with salt and vinegar.
Boiled potato fingers should be dunked in hot oil and be fried for around 30 to 40 seconds.
The semi-fried fries should be stored in an air-tight container in the freezer so that they can set.
Defrosting fries can make them sloppy. One should take the fries out of the freezer and put them into boiling oil.
