Sabudana modak is an easy and interesting Kozhukattai recipe. Modak is Lord Ganesha's favourite mithai, which is why it is widely offered as a Bhog on Ganesh Chaturthi. It is originally made with rice flour or mawa. Here is how to make sabudana modaks:

Step 1

Wash and soak sabudana in enough water for 2 to 3 hours.

Step 2

Drain the excess soaked water if any. Grind the sabudana coarsely.

Step 3

Transfer to a bowl. Add rice flour and salt. Mix well to make non-sticky dough.

Step 4

Cover till use. Kozhukattai dough is ready.

Step 5

To make the stuffing, mix grated coconut, jaggery, sugar, cardamom, and roasted cashews with ghee. Mix well.

Step 6

Take a golf ball-sized kozhukattai dough and press it to make a dent.

Step 7
