Kheer is a staple dessert, which is popularly made across the country during special occasions and festivals. For Ganesh Chaturthi, you can serve this rich and creamy pudding by following this recipe.
1 cup rice 3 cups milk 1/4 cup sugar 1/4 cup chopped almonds 1/4 cup chopped pistachios 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder 1 tablespoon ghee
Mix rinsed rice and milk and boil it. Let the mixture simmer till the rice is soft.
Stir in the sugar and cardamom powder. Cook till the milk thickens.
Mix in chopped almonds and pistachios. Drizzle some ghee on the top.
Let the kheer cool and serve to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi.
