1 cup grated khoya (milk solids) 1/4 cup powdered sugar 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder A pinch of saffron strands 1 cup rice flour 1/4 cup water 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon ghee
Combine the grated khoya, powdered sugar, cardamom powder, and saffron strands.
Mix the rice flour, water, salt, and ghee. Knead it into a soft dough.
Place a spoonful of the filling in the dough and make modaks as dumplings with fillings.
Place the assembled modak in a steamer and steam for 10-15 minutes. Serve.
