The Rava modak recipe is perfect for someone who loves sooji dishes. Rava modak can be a delicious dessert served on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi on 7th September, impressing guests during gatherings and puja.
1 cup semolina (rava) 1/2 cup grated coconut 1/4 cup powdered sugar 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder 1/4 teaspoon saffron strands 1/4 cup milk
Combine coconut, sugar, cardamom, and saffron for filling in a bowl.
Mix rava with milk. Add the saffron filling made before and knead.
Make small balls from the dough.
Grease the mould with ghee or butter and press the modak dough into it. squeeze the extra dough and prepare the remaining modaks. Once prepared, steam for 10-15 minutes.
Serve hot or store.
