As the preparations for Ganesh Chaturthi (to be celebrated on September 7, 2024) are in full swing, you should stuff your refrigerator with Lord Ganpati’s favourite sweets. Here is a list of seven you can offer to Bappa.
Lord Ganesha loves laddo, and it is clear from all the idols of his in the Indian temples. You can offer rava ladoo, besan ladoo, and coconut ladoo to him.
Any milk-based sweet can be offered to Hindu Gods. Among these, kheer is counted among Bappa’s favourites.
If you are going to buy sweets from shops, don’t forget motichoor ladoo which is offered in Vighnaharta in North India.
Lord Ganesha’s love for Modak knows no bounds. Every year, devotees make them at home and feed Ganpati’s idol his favourite sweet.
In Maharashtra, people also offer puran poli to Bappa. It is stuffed sweet roti that makes a complete and heartwarming meal to indulge in.
If you want to offer something new to Lord Ganesha, consider purchasing coconut barfi. Prepare with sugar, coconut, and milk, it melts in your mouth.
Just like Lord Krishna, Ganpati is also offered khoya peda. It is prepared by reducing milk and flavouring it with cardamom, saffron, and jaggery.
