Citrusy and crisp, this cocktail dates back to a time at a bar in New York, after the first World War, where someone described drinking this cocktail to feeling like being hit by a French 75mm field gun…..and the rest is history.
30 ml gin 15 ml lemon juice 15 ml pomegranate syrup 15 ml pomegranate juice Champagne, to top up
Add all the ingredients except the champagne to a shaker filled with ice.
Shake well, strain and pour into a glass of your choice.
Pour the champagne over to top up and serve chilled.
