Anjeer with all its benefits for your health is an amazing ingredient to experiment with, especially while making desserts. Try the recipe for anjeer halwa when you are bored with traditional sooji and moong dal halwa.
½ cup crushed almonds 1.5 cups anjeer ¼ tsp cardamom powder 3 tbsp ghee 5 tbsp milk powder 4 tbsp sugar
Boil water in a pan and add figs to it. This process will soften them in 4-5 minutes.
After draining the water, make a smooth paste of anjeer. Add ¼ cup of water if needed.
Heat ghee in a kadhai and roast almond powder in it until it releases aroma and turns slightly brown.
Add pureed figs, sugar, milk powder, and some water to the kadhai.
Let the mixture simmer on a medium flame with constant stirring.
Top the halwa with cardamom powder and enjoy it.
