From beetroot chilli to kanji, several dishes have gone viral on social media, but not many try the halwa recipe. This year, make beetroot halwa ahead of harvest festival celebrations. Note the recipe.
1.5 cups milk 2 cup grated beetroot ½ tsp cardamom powder 10-12 cashews ½ cup sugar/ jaggery 2 tbsp ghee
Wash beetroots, peel their skin, and grate them.
Heat ghee in a pan and roast cashews until they are golden.
Keep cashews aside and cook grated beetroot in ghee.
Add milk to the pan and let the ingredients cook.
Drop in sugar or jaggery and cook the ingredients until the mixture thickens.
Garnish the halwa with cashews and cardamom powder.
