A well-known online resource for recipes and travel guides, TasteAtlas, recently announced that one of India's most famous beverages, "filter coffee," had achieved the incredible achievement of ranking second on the esteemed "Top 38 Coffees In The World" list. Here’s how to make at home
2 tablespoons of freshly ground coffee powder 1 cup of water 2 tablespoons of milk (adjust to taste) Sugar (optional, to taste)
Boil water in a saucepan or kettle until it reaches a gentle simmer. Place the coffee powder in a filter or coffee maker and pour the hot water over it, allowing it to slowly drip through.
In a separate saucepan, heat the milk until it's warm but not boiling. Once the coffee has brewed, pour it into a cup, leaving space at the top. Add the warm milk to the cup, adjusting the ratio to your preference.
Sweeten with sugar if desired and stir well to combine. Serve hot and enjoy the refreshing and flavourful experience of homemade filter coffee, the second-best coffee in the world.
