A delicious snack recipe to make for children and adults, fresh hung curd forms the foundation of this preparation. Enjoy these crispy-creamy morsels with a spicy chutney or ketchup on the side, for the ideal accompaniment to your tea time.
4 slices white bread ½ cup hung curd 1 small onion, chopped ½ capsicum, chopped ½ red bell pepper, chopped 2 green chillies, chopped 1-inch piece ginger, minced 2 tablespoons fresh coriander, chopped 1 teaspoon cumin powder 1 teaspoon black pepper powder ¼ cup grated cheese ½ teaspoon black salt Oil, for pan-frying
Cut the crusts off of the white bread slices and flatten them with a rolling pin.
Combine the hung curd with the remaining ingredients in a separate bowl to make a creamy-chunky mixture.
Spoon some of the curd mixture on to the centre of a bread slice and place a second one on top.
Seal the edges on both sides using your hands and repeat the process for more.
Drop each parcel into the hot oil and fry until the outside is golden-brown and crispy.
Remove and strain on a kitchen towel, before cutting into two and serving warm.
