Father's Day is just around the corner, giving you enough time to make the day memorable for your dad and this special cake is the perfect way to do that. Here's a recipe for you to try:
Cake: 1 1/2 cups flour 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup butter 1 cup of sugar 3 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 cup milk 2 tablespoons cocoa powder (for dusting)
Coffee Syrup: 1 cup of coffee 1/4 cup of coffee liqueur (optional) 2 tablespoons of sugar Mascarpone Filling: 1 1/2 cups heavy cream 226 g mascarpone cheese 1/2 cup powdered sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease two 9-inch pans. Beat butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla, then the dry ingredients and milk. Bake for 20–25 minutes. Cool.
Mix coffee, liqueur, and sugar.
Whip cream. Mix mascarpone, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Fold in cream. Brush the cake layers with syrup.
Layer with filling. Dust with cocoa.
