Aloo might not be a vegetable that Indians discovered first but it is definitely among the most cultivated and consumed in the country. People fasting on Mondays during Sawan often look forward to eating potato-based snacks. Here are some no-onion and no-garlic options.
Prepare a spiced mixture of mashed potatoes, boiled peas, and Indian spices. Shape it into patties and shallow fry them until crispy.
Shallow-fry large chunks of potatoes until crispy and top them with tamarind chutney, curd, chaat masala, and green chutney.
Sabudana vada is prepared by combining sago with boiled potatoes and spices. This delicious recipe is a perfect snack for people observing a fast.
In a bowl, mash potatoes and corn and combine with spices. Grease your palms and shape the mixture into small tikkis which you can shallow fry.
If you are eating maida or atta while fasting, you can use any millet-based flour to prepare aloo samosa. Serve it with green chutney to enjoy with tea.
