Vrat Ke Aloo is a simple dish made during fasting periods like Navratri. It features boiled potatoes sautéed with ghee, cumin, and mild spices like rock salt and green chillies, offering a comforting and quick meal that’s both light and satisfying.
4-5 boiled potatoes 1 tbsp ghee 1 tsp cumin seeds 2 green chillies Rock salt 1/2 tsp black pepper powder Fresh coriander leaves
Heat ghee in a pan and add cumin seeds.
Once cumin crackles, add green chillies and sauté briefly.
Add boiled, cubed potatoes, rock salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
Cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally until potatoes are golden.
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
