Dosa is usually made from lentils and rice, but when you make it using millet, it turns out equally delicious and more nutritious. Here is a recipe for farali dosa that you must try at home.
½ cup rajgira (amaranth flour) ½ cup sanwa (sama) millet 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste ½ cup sour buttermilk Rock salt to taste Oil for cooking as per requirement
Clean, wash, and soak sama millet in a bowl for a couple of hours at least.
Drain the water and grind the millet. Add it to a paste of buttermilk, ginger-garlic paste, and rajgira flour.
Add salt to taste and cover with the lid. Keep it aside to ferment overnight.
Next morning, adjust the consistency and pour the batter on a hot skillet.
Once the base starts turning brown and crispy, fold the dosa in half and remove from the pan.
Serve the dosa hot with potato masala, sambar, and chutney of your choice.
