Telangana cuisine is hot and spicy, and both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. Meals are flavoured with spices like tamarind, sesame seeds, red chilies, and asafoetida.

SHIKAMPURI KEBAB

A popular deep fried dish, patty is made up of Mutton or chicken along with spices, ginger, garlic, eggs, and chana dal.

PACHI PULUSU

The word Pachi means “raw”. The consistency is like rasam, the dish includes tamarind, onions, chillies, jaggery, other spices.

SARVA PINDI

This dish is also known as Tapala Chekka and Ginne App. The dish is a savoury pancake made with spices.

VANKAYA PULUSU

A popular brinjal based main course is made up of only tamarind and green chillies. With no spices this dish is great and unique.

GOLICHINA MAMSAM

Golichina in Telugu means”fried “. This includes fried pieces of mutton infused in traditional spices. It’s heaven for non veg lovers.

SHAHI TUKDA

This sweet is also known as Double Ka Meetha, made from fried bread dipped in milk. Very tasty and delicious.
